I had a bad habit of snacking at my desk. Between calls I would grab a mini snickers etc. Now I take the time in the mornings to cut up an apple and some carrots and keep those at my desk. I also have some fat free graham crackers, wheat crackers, and bran flakes. The bran flakes may not sound good to everyone but they give me the crunch of a chip. When I am home in the evenings if I want a snack I will sip a cup of chamomille tea. By the time I'm done getting it ready, letting it cool off enough to drink, and drink I am past the urge to snack. I try to keep my snacks as close to whole foods as possible, just feel better about snacking if I know whats in it. If I am totally craving chocolate that "one day a month" I keep the Hostess 100 calorie cupcake pack. 3 mini cupcakes, 100 calories. I have found the more simple I keep it the less likely I am to go off the deep end.
