If it's any help, I follow a full-body routine, but do it 3 days a week with success, as in no overtraining issues (plus, it's how I got the muscles that I have at present ), and it works well because if I need to skip a day, for whatever reason, I still have 2 days left and haven't excluded any body part. Some weeks, I only manage to get 1 session in, but it keeps the body conditioned which is more important to me. The 1 hour cardio that you do every day, walking the dogs, is probably more exercise than most people ever get even when doing exercise What about taking the dog for a jog, or some fartlek work, if you're okay with jogging that is.
