phew! glad I found out what the heck fartlek is using google. It sounds just rude and disgusting
I don't actually enjoy walking or running but can't avoid the walking and will run from time to time for the same reasons (dogs) since apparently short humans are generally too slow to keep up with long legged dog pace.
Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll look further into FARTLEK (snicker) and see if that might spruce up my daily walks...
