We have a home gym, which I prefer hands down. DH and I have dedicated our living room to the gym plus playspace for my 3 year old (that's right, folks, we don't have a sofa or coffee table or anything! I like it that way!).
We have:
- Bench with barbell, lat bar, curl pad, and leg curl and leg extension machine
- Adjustable dumbbells
- Only a basic set of plates so far, but we're expanding it over time
- A really nice elliptical trainer that we inherited from the office
- Mat (for situps and stuff)

I think it's everything we need - as long as we also do walks/runs (I walk, DH runs) or something to vary the cardio occasionally.
