Hey 5kglifter - Great idea about getting some oats for breakfast. I love porridge and pretty much have it all year round but I appreciate we all have different 'favourites' (personally I can't stomach tuna). I've made this kind of shake too for my better half who needs to stay off wheat.
Anyway, just a few variations you might consider, so you don't get bored!!
- soak your oats overnight in the fridge. They plump up and soften well which might help you digest them better. Try just water or juice (apple/orange) for a variation on flavour/texture.
- frozen berries work well too and are a great antioxidant (although my fave is banana).
- in Australia we get packs of "LSA" which is ground up Soy, Linseed and Almond so I use this in shakes/smoothies and it's full of 'good oil'.
Enjoy!
