it realy depends on whether it is an ache or pain, if it is pain it is a potential injury and you should rest and RICE and posible see a doctor but with an ache from unfamiliar exercise or intensity a light follow up exercise a couple of days afterwards can help speed up recovery. Most of the time i have no problems with DOMS but after a change in routine or after a planned break i will feel it badly (like today lol)
