how do you stay organized?

I am having major issues right now with my schedule! Everyone seems to want something from me and I never have time to focus on the things I need to do for myself. I hope this doesn't sound selfish, but I just can't get a second for myself. As a mom, wife, and friend I seem to be pulled in every direction right now.
What are some ways you keep everything check? Keep everyone on track but still have that 15 mins a day for yourself? Do you keep a calendar? Do you relie on your blackberry?
I'm just feeling very overwhemled right now. Kiddo has cheer two nights a week, they changed my schedule at work, hubby works 2 jobs so I get all the house work plus bills, plus keeping him on track as far as schedule. I guess I just need to vent. But I do need some help on ideas to get my life organized.

I use a diary, and I learnt how to say no when I'm being pulled in too many directions. Also I get up earlier to work out.
Take a breath, you'll find the time somewhere, you've just got to shuffle things about and make yourself a priority.
Good luck!
also- ask for help, people are usually willing to compromise.

Hiya Tonya,

I must admit I only work part time and don't have any kids so I've got it easy really.

My partner works full time but he still helps with the house work a bit. If you tell your hubby how you feel he might suprise you and be very supportive, even if he can't help more just having him appreciate how much your doing is helpful.

When it comes to social arrangements with friends and family, I dont have enough time to see everyone as much as THEY would like either.
Both my parents and my in-laws are divorced, they would all like to see us once a week or so, there is just no way I could do that with out being exhausted so I arrange to meet up with them once a month. It means I am better company when I do see them, I don't feel guilty about it, although I know some people would.

As for the kids, I would be way out of my league giving you advice there but the experts say its better for the kids to let them do as much as they can for themselves, and that can take some of the burden off your shoulders.

this might be the key.
looking out for you is NOT selfish.
It'll make you more effective and more available emotionally for your family, plus you'll be setting a great example for your kids!
saying no is the hardest thing for us ladies/ caregivers but also the best thing you can do.
I know you know all of this - but we all need to hear it again sometimes.
hang in there!

I need to tell myself that. I need to tell myself that it is ok to take that time for myself. I am also so focused on everyone else that I feel I look selfish by taking that time. I need to tell myself that it is ok to be a little "selfish."
