Unhappy Missing a training/exercise session...

How do people feel when they have to miss a session, due to prior engagements, illness, or just sheer lack of time?

I know I really miss them, I'm not addicted in anyway, but I honestly do miss working out, because I find my exercise sessions fun, and am always trying to just tweak it to make it harder or more of a thing that I want to do, as in setting little targets such as, can I go 7 steps/28 foot movements (on a stepper) whilst breath-holding, and then it becomes compeitive for me, against myself and my previous bests...

So, how do others feel when they absolutely must miss a workout?

I am deffinitely addicted lol

If i miss a gym session I get irritable and I am unable to concentrate or sit still and i also have a much shorter fuse when it comes to my temper. After missing a gym session the rest of the family realy notice a difference. If I have to miss 2 sessions in a row I tend to get a little depressed.

I'm the same way. The boot camp I go to takes a week off at the end of every four-week-cycle. During the week off, I get irritable, tired and depressed.

I think it just goes to show how much the human body was designed and intended to move and work it!!
Same for me too - everything's off without an exercise routine!

Wow, so glad to hear others miss it too! My better half thinks I'm a bit weird if I get bummed out about not training. I'm not obsessive but honestly, it took me sooooo long to get motivated to actually START, that I don't want to let it lapse. I've started seeing results now in my body tone and I need to be super-motivated to go out and train in the garage alone. Anyway, I had a wrist injury which kept me out for about a fortnight and I was fairly cranky. I don't know if it's because I miss the exercise or because my routine has been disrupted, but whatever, it makes me cranky.

I actually think that training also has an effect on my mood, on my 2 days off between workouts I might be feeling real flat but after a heavy session in the gym I walk away sore, but feeling much better overall!

Me missing out on my workout is like... like... um.... HELL ON EARTH!!!!

I'm cranky, short-tempered, I can't eat because I keep thinking that I can't work off the calories, I'm obsessed with it. I'm pretty sure my alpha male thinks I'm insane. LOL

I HATE it. Even if it's to do something fun. Also, I've been doing the 30day Shred for over a week now, and I'm having to miss my first day (except one, when I was doing a different circuit workout anyhow) because my back has had a bit of a twinge and I don't want to risk aggravating it and having to be out longer. I feel like I'm cheating!

I haven't worked out for over a month and I don't feel too bad ha... I like working out but its no big deal to me if I miss a day... (or week or month lol!) I guess I just try to make sure to do something rather physical every day - like housework (loads of washing can be very heavy!) or gardening (chopping down trees counts!) or playing (a 6-month old boy is exhausting!)...

But I have been doing too much so I need to get back to
