Yes, breakups affect pretty much everything. People tend to be emotional eaters, although it is suggested that you can pre-program the body not to do that by making sure you turn to exercise/relaxation etc when you feel stressed, which then means that you are more likely to exercise/meditate when you get stressed. But short term stress, from what I've read, tends to make people not want to eat, and as it turns in to long term stress then people tend to overeat...so, it seems humans start at one end of the scope and then get to the other end during long term stressful situations. Stress also means that your body will hang on to bodyfat...my mother lost weight when she visited even though she had spent years eating little and trying to lose weight, but she was in a more relaxed environment whilst here on holiday, and ate more, but still managed to lose weight. So, stress in general affects us, men included, and in a similar way.
