Really personal healing ?

Ok so let me start this post by saying I am not trying to be offensive or anything else- this is a legit question and I was looking for other femailes that may have had the same situation. You can PM me if you do not want to put it on this thread.
I got my mother's day present last night. Something I have wanted for a very long time. I got a piercing in a "personal" area. Does anyone else hwave one? Because I am not clear on it will effect my workout. The piercer said to keep it clean etc which I know, but I was wondering if anyone had any issues with workouts afterwards during the healing process. Particular workouts I should avoid for right now? How long did it take to heal? I have no pain or anything, it is not bothering me. Just curious how long it takes etc.
Just need some general info from someone who has done it.

Wow.

LOL You're braver than me! As far as I know, the only real problem is that it can cause over-sentitivity while walking briskly or cycling. It would certainly give a climactic boost to your workout, though!!

Workout was good yesterday. Hurt alot less than I thought it would overall. I've had barely any pain. After a workout I just have to make sure and shower really good the piercer said- like I don't anyway, but I'm sure he has had people that don't.

After I had my ears pierced, I was told the best thing for them was the saliva first thing in the morning before anything has been eaten, or teeth brushed etc, whether it's an option for that 'delicate' area or not, I couldn't say, but it probably is a good option if there are any problems...it seems to be healing stuff.

Don't jump onto any saddles too briskly

You're braver than me, I cringed just reading the post.

the bicycle seat with a cut out space then...

best thing to help it heal is sea salt (no iodine) soak once a day for 3-6 months. mix 1/4 tsp into a cup of warm water and then pour some into a shot glass. Then over the toilet or shower to avoid a mess just latch the shot glass onto the surrounding skin to form a light seal and hang out for a minute or two.

healing time probably varies a lot but moist area llke that can take 6-8 months to be completely healed.

Have fun with it! I found it actually desensitized me over time - boo hoo but it does LOOK very cool.
and then when I removed it to get back on the bicycle for a spell it closed over REALLY quickly....darn!
