I'm now unemployed

Ughh... So I lost my job Wed May 13th. A'holes fired me because I tend to speak my mind. I'm sorry but if you ASK for my opinion and I tell you I don't really want to give it, then why push me and tell me you want it and really matters if your just going to fire me for it? Funny thing is they talked to me on Tuesday 5-12, fired me by VOICEMAIL Wed 5-13, but mailed the certified letter Monday 5-11! Company is getting ready to go into a merger and I fully believe I was let go and made an example of to let the other worker bee's know not to buck the system. There was 5 of us fired last week, and all of us had the highest sales in the center-but were the most out spoken and questioned some of the their tactics and changes.
Good news is I can now stay home this summer with my kiddo and actually figure out what I'm going to do with my life. We are ok with hubby's 2 jobs that I can do it- even though I'm feeling a little guilty and selfish that I am. He is encouraging me to stay home and check into going back to school. I'm really thinking about it. I'm thinking about respiratory therapy- anyone else in this line of work? What is it like? Is it worth it?
I'm so confused right now on what to do. Do I stay home or try to find a job right away? Do I go back to school? So many decisions to make.

Oh no, It sounds like something you could turn into change for the better!
Good Luck!
I have no idea what respiratory therapy is so can't offer any advice there.

Just calm down, try to clear your mind and take your time. You don't have to decide today or tomorrow. Use the time to take care of your kids and think about all options. I am sure you'll find the right thing for you if you don't hurry.

Sorry to hear about your job loss.

I think a deep breath is a great way to start (I just re-read the part about respiratory therapy - no pun intended). This change can be positive. If you do decide to stay home with your child during the summer I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Some courses can be taken online too, whether you decide to continue to stay home, or work full or part time.

Take your time to think about options - sometimes what seems like a bad occurence in our lives may be just life's way of shoving us in another direction, with better things in store. I bet there is a silver lining here for you!

Me too! I quit my job though, I was tired of all the bull that goes with retail. I've been spending a lot of time thinking about it and I really regret it now. But all in all it can turn into a very beneficial thing. More time for working out, less exposure to crap food, more time with my cubs.

I've also been thinking about studying fitness and cardiovascular rehabilitation. My ultimate fantasy at the moment is to run a fitness centre from home specialising in morbidly obese people finding their inner hotness. I've got a feeling it's all going to be a lot harder to acheive in real life but I've got time. In four years all my boys will be in school.

There's just so much out there once you're a lady of leisure!! What do you want more than anything? My dad once told me that to have a happy career, find something you love doing more than anything and then find someone stupid enough to pay you to do it.
