Tips before getting pregnant again

The experience I had when I gave birth was really traumatic but I am happy when I saw my daughter healthy and not harmed. I am afraid to get pregnant again not because I don't want to have kids again but the thought of 12 hours labor and abdominal pain really scares me.

Some say it is really a risk, some women died of giving birth and I don't want that to happen to me. I am not ready yet.

Is there some tips on how to prepare for it?
