those all sound like great suggestions. One think that has recently helped me since i last posted this was the meal bars by south beach living foods. They really hold me up until lunch/dinner time and they are a great source for protein. i live off the peanut butter ones

personal experiences and opinions are always valued here at RWF but I do feel it's only fair to point out that fitnessguru works for the company who sells the food product mentioned. Be careful fitnessguru. you are walking a fine line here.

whole foods are better for the body. processed foods un necessarily tax the organs of elimination.

I've just started drinking a pint of skimmed milk as my afternoon snack,
Its about 130cal and 10g od Protein.

This seams like such a good drink for a work out I can't understand why you don't see it for sale in gyms.

Maybe its cos it has a smaller advertising budget?????

Also some UK supermarkets (The one that begins with an A and the one that begins with a T) do small tubs of value cottage cheese that make really heathy snacks if you ignore the high salt content
(not very conveniet mind cos you have to find a spoon).

from what I understand dried fruit is heavy in sugars which is great for quick energy boost but not a good meal replacement.
then for some of us health freaks there's the issue of preservatives used with some dried fruits. I try to look for unsulphured products.
dried mango is really delicious isn't it?!
my fav. is pear

That is a GREAT list. I am going shopping. I need to have good stuff on hand.

Hungry-girl.com (fun site for ideas) recommends a pickle rolled up in turkey slices. It sounds wierd, but it does make a good snack. I also love decaff espresso with fat-free milk--low cal treat. Hi-fiber tortilla -spread with Laughing Cow--good bread swap. Kim

Snacking? I love snacking. My favorites are frozen berry drinks with coconut milk, some lemon and/or orange juice, vanilla, spices, and maybe some carob. Coconut milk is my favorite cream substitute and I just had sliced strawberries with some mixed with a bit of soy milk, orange&lemon juice, and butterscotch extract and it was amaaazing. Nuts, seeds and carob chips are good too and I like dried fruit too from time to time. Eggs are great too. Hummus on cauliflower is a deeelicious match. I love baked goods so I've been trying nutritional flours and low-nearly no sugar sort of alternatives and that's really good too. I'm going to try that banana oat cookie recipe tomorrow since it sounds so good.

I like snacking, most on fruits and some nuts.. I don't mind crackers and cheese but only occasionally. I like most of Kraft products, some of them actually low fat and for drink I like Crystal light so my water doesn't taste bored lol.. Hey, if you also like Kraft foods, you guys should check their offer for summer. Cuz I know you can get plenty of coupons, just go to*link deleted* Saving. Hope you'll like it!
