Lightbulb Have a side dish and dessert...

How to replace ONE dish with THREE and still eat less calories:

ONE dish:
Tagliatelle with cream, mushrooms and bacon. 600 calories. (400g meal)

THREE dishes:
Pasta with tomatoes and olives. 400 calories. (400g main course)
Green salad. 20 calories. (decent breakfast sized bowl of cos lettuce etc)
Fresh fruit salad (50g) with one scoop of sorbet. 100 calories.

The THREE dish meal has 80 calories less in total than the dish of tagliatelle, and you also get to have dessert.

All above information taken from the book 'Picture Perfect Weight Loss' by Howard Shapiro (2004: pp. 116-117).

It kind of put it into perspective when you see it broken down into numbers like that. Eat healthier, you get to eat more.
