Too Many Carbs...

Does anyone have any good food suggestions that target protein or fiber? I really don't like just drinking shakes or eating protein bars, and because I live at school there is a limited amount of food I eat. I can't cook in my room or grill so it pretty much eliminates a lot of food I could prepare.

My main problem is that I end up eating WAY too many carbs while trying to get my protein in for the day. Are there any foods that are low in carbs but still give me a great amount of protein?

Hmmmm have you got a fridge?
Cottage cheese and skimmed milk are low carb high protein.
Nuts are high protein, low carb but high fat
......and of course there's always Tins of Tuna.

Can you eat tuna etc, that will work and no cooking involved.

Yeah I figured tuna would be a good one. The thing about my diet is that I hate the foods that are high in protein: cottage cheese, cut up chicken breast (I hate white meat), etc. Anything else besides tuna??

Do you mean you hate all protein, or did this mean that you don't like a lot of meats etc? I think maybe it was the latter but it confused me...

Eggs, milk, yoghurt, beef, fish, tofu...

Good Sources of Protein - WebMD

I hope that's of help.

why don't you like eating these things?
is there an adverse reaction - do you feel yucky after eating these or is it just a matter of taste? If protein doesn't agree with you then it might be a matter of digestive enzymes. If it's just a taste preference issue, then try getting creative and making it work. Have your cottage cheese with crackers or fruit or something. what about hard boiled eggs? mix the tuna into a salad....

Yeah it's the taste. I can eat white meat chicken in a salad or something like that, but I could eat 10 at a time because they don't fill me up. I don't feel like I have eaten anything after I am done because I am still just as hungry as before. See, my boyfriend can just eat grilled white meat chicken and dip it in honey mustard, but I can't do that (it kinda sucks cause that would be a great way to get protein). I don't like hard boiled eggs (never have) or cottage cheese (never have). So, I pretty much resort to tuna and nuts like almonds or walnuts.
