What is a good diet for toning up?

My name is Ashley and I'm brand new to this forum. What I'm looking to do is tone my whole body up. Right now I am 129 lbs, at my heaviest I weighed 158 lbs. I would still like to get to my target weight of 110 lbs but also tone up my body from all the weight I've lost already. I'm 25 yrs old which I know is the age when our metabolism's start slowing down, so I just wondered what would be the best foods for me to eat, and the foods that I should stay away from while trying to reach my goal? I plan to workout everyday of the week except for on Sunday, I haven't come up with a fitness plan yet but I will be updating that shortly. Any suggestions on a good diet to follow would be great, thanks guys

The only thing I can suggest about diet is to eat wholesome foods: potato, pasta, bread, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, nuts...the list is endless. Just work out how many calories you require daily, or work on portion sizes instead of counting calories...and you should be okay.

This counter appears to be a decent one:
