It's not so easy....
Hello,
I come from a family that has very bad eating habits as well. I was 150 lbs when I was 15 and I had to take it upon myself to say NO if I wanted to ever shed the pounds. It's been 10 years since I made the decision and I am 120 lbs now. I have replaced fat with muscle and have a very athletic body now. However, I am still dealing with a bit of stubborn fat that lingers because I too am tempted way to much with sweets. I'm not always perfect and do stop dieting some times.
The key is to be patient, be disciplined, and build muscle too. I recommend reading a book called the ABS diet that is very helpful and teaches you about proper nutrition. I know it's hard especially if the family makes it hard, but you have to be serious and tell them that you are dieting and from now on to please respect your decision and support your diet. It's also important to learn how to cook for yourself, if you depend on family to cook for you, you'll never drop the weight.
I know you want something now, but it's simply not that easy. I'm sorry, I wish it were. I'll tell you something though that most people don't know. Drink about 60-80 oz of water everyday and cut back on your calorie intake and you'll shed some pounds very quickly.

Keep it up!!!
Just keep it up! try cooking with lean meat's like chicken and fish and incorporate a vegetable in there. I just season my chicken with garlic powder and salt (sodium's not good, but in the beginning it's ok just to ease into things) on 400 degrees for 45 min. I'm talking chicken breast with skin and bones. Also grilling skinless, boneless chicken breast is good! It can be very simple. I have a rice cooker, which is basically a steamer, I throw my veggies in there; broccoli, carrots, asparagus, artichoke, whatever you like while my chicken is baking in the oven. It's good and satisfying. I make enough veggies for the next day too and have it with lunch or breakfast. If you like eggs and broccoli try to make a broccoli omelet.
For your sweet cravings look for those 100 calorie treats(portion control with these). I buy them at Target or sugar free, low fat jello or jello's pudding.
