Lightbulb Brown bread is just coloured/flavoured with molasses

When looking for the more nutritous breads you need to specifically look for wholewheat, wholemeal etc. The term 'Brown Bread' only reflects that it is in fact white bread that has either molasses, or gravy-style ingredient, as a colourant...and not that it has any real benefit over white bread. I make bread, and have read many books on the subject since it interests me a great deal, some of the books are by Master Bakers in the industry such as Peter Reinhart.

I think if you really liked white bread it would be ok to have it after a work out, as a snack because its ok to have simple sugars then?

I have two pieces of Toast for Breakfast most of the time, always wholemeal.
it fits into my diet quite well but I try not to have anymore in the day.

I absolutely love my soy linseed bread. I buy myself two loaves a week and keep them in the freezer as the rest of the family insist on only having white bread. This way, when I want some toast or a sandwhich I just microwave a couple slices for ten seconds and I have my fresh bread.

The freezer is my best friend. LOL.
