Healthy activities??

Hey guys, I dont particularly love working out.... gyms or workout videos. So, can anyone give me some unique ideas about daily fun active activities that could be considered exercise?? I have a few things that i participate in already but I want to have some fun activities that I could do without even realizing im working out,.. Ive been doing some things like frisbee golf, walking my dog,... I've been trying to get involved in some things that the boyfriend enjoys like hackey sack (and man thats hard to get the hang of and makes you more sore than you would think lol). I would love to learn to salsa or something fun like that. Bascially it comes down to I'm broke and I would appreciate any fun ideas that you guys do to stay fit (that are free or cheap) rather than the regular biking, jogging suggestions everyone seems to give! Thanks so much everyone!

for cardio skipping rope is good and cheap. it may sound boring but if you google it you'll find quite a few variations that make it fun and challenging.

and you could try painting your house - wielding a paint roller can be quite the ab arm and neck workout!

if you like rollerblading that can be pretty affordable although it takes some motivation.....dunno.
there are so many awesome things you can do to workout at home but it's personal - what you find fun or not, y'know?

In my opinion pushups situps pullups - those are essentials.

Agree with Stik about the painting etc, gardening is good if you enjoy gardening. I'm currently training freediving, but out of the water so, it's just a noseclip and a stopwatch and away I go, but that depends on whether you want to get in to a sport. One person does dynamic freediving, which is underwater swimming distances in a pool, in order to stay fit because it burns so many calories. There's also, underwater hockey/octopush; squash; tennis; badminton; hiking; mountain biking (that's normally cool and hard); CrossFit (see the internet); rock climbing...

Some of the above may need some outlay of money, but not usually a lot depending on what level you want to take something to, or if a club or people can help, which they are normally happy to do. One forum member is training triathalon, which is a combo of fitness skills, and keeps the variety there. So, it really depends if there is something that takes your fancy, that you can really get in to and enjoy. Dancing, as you say, is a good option because you have to be all-round fit for that.

For me, it's an aerobic stepper, a few dumbbells (not a lot), and a noseclip...but I need to get some goggles and a swimming costume before I hit the water

Gardening is really good, especially digging. House work is good exercise, its fun if you can play loud music or listen to the radio.
Washing the car or windows is nice on a sunny day.
I love badminton as well, it only cos £3.00 to hire a court at my gym (and they lend out the rackets and shuttlecocks )
