Cellulite

Ok girls, I know im new and im already posting a lot,.. but ive got lots of questions! So, cellulite. I'm not heavy, in fact many people consider me "skinny" but we all know skinny does not mean toned. So, i have cellulite on the outsides of my thighs and my butt, its not crazy noticable but enough to make me self-concious. I have heard extremes on both sides of getting rid of cellulite,.... that you can lose it all, and that there's nothing you can do about it. Anyone out there get rid of or reduce cellulite you had?? What did you do?? Is there hope for me?? Any response is greatly appreciated. Thanks so Much!!!

Hi! I have a bit of cellulite too, although I'm not heavy. I've seen an improvement while trying to lose bodyfat. Also, I've noticed that jogging does a great job for your legs. So I think there is hope!

Cellulite is just fat beneath the skin, because women have thinner skin than men it shows up on us more. So, the best way to reduce cellulite is to make sure you do cardio which will help shrink the fat cells, since we cannot reduce the number of fat cells that we have. But this still equates to getting rid of fat, it's just that we don't speak of it in exact science normally, we just refer to it as burning fat, when in reality what we are doing is shrinking the cells so that they are emptied of fat. Cardio will work, and cardio that uses the legs will have double the impact, because it will tone those areas as well; but don't neglect the rest of the body either. Cardio should be done at least every other day, because after 24 hours the body needs reminding of how to burn fat, apparently, and women should try and do cardio for 45 minutes, whereas men can get away with 20 minutes for fat burning. If you are really fit, you could also try shorter sessions of HIIT, which burn bodyfat even better, even though the sessions only last 20 minutes; so very time efficient. Hope that helps.

I saw a huge improvement when I shed a few pounds by using a treadmill on a steep incline. Im not keen on running so I find brisk walking okay for me. I was not big just out of shape and my legs were pretty awful. But in just a few weeks it has made a big difference. I might even wear shorts this summer !

i think some people are just genetically prone to cellulute, but you can reduce the appearance. it is stubborn fat though, i've lost 20 lbs, going from 155 to 135, i'm 5/7.5, and i STILL have some cellulite. i've never been huge, but i guess that's where my body collects it. i'm hoping with my last 10 it will go away. i read somewhere that women callect fat around there thighs on purpose because back in the cave days women needed it to support themselves and their baby when they were pregnant, i guess that would explain stubborn tricep fat, lol

cellulite has more to do with diet than with the cave days.

I agree with StikFigure, it's diet mainly, although improving circulation in those areas also helps. I gym 6 days a week, a mix of weights and cardio (rarely do I do these on the same day) and still had cellulite problems in the area you mention. I noticed an immediate difference by cutting down on cheese. I wasn't mad on the stuff but was probably having cheese 3 to 4 times a week. Now I never have it more than once a week and there's been a great improvement. Hope this helps

i haven't eaten cheese for as long as i can remember, i formed a phobia (almost, lol. i just really hate it) before kindergarden. and i've always led a pretty decent diet, even as a kid. i think diet may be a factor, but i also think genetics play a huge role.

I have cellilite too, i'm not fat or skinny, but i have a question. Can steam room help for the cellulite? I do it once a week. I sit for few minutes then after i feel i get to hot, i'm going to take a cold shower, then i go back and sit again in the steam room and this go on and on. I also do different tipes of cario and weight exercise.

I have noticed that my cellulite has got really bad in the past few months from what with eating all the time & not working out alot.

I got a shock the other day when i looked at myself from behind & all the cellulite on my bum, legs, beginning to appear on my calfs & even on my right arm

I have started to body brush & am hoping by sheding some lbs & also working out that it will start to go
