Curves gym anyone?

I just joined...it seems like an easy place to start for someone like me who has never worked out and only needs to lose about 10-15 lbs or so. Mostly I need to tone up and if I do I think I will lose those extra pounds that are there around my thighs and butt area! I am wondering if anyone else here has done it/is doing it...good reviews/bad? What drew me to it is the 30 minute workout and the lady there is so nice, she goes around with me on the circut and said she will show me over and over until I get it.

Hi - Good job for getting set up at Curves! I started there and it was great for getting into a good routine and build up some stamina.

If you like it and are noticing results you may want to go for a more challenging workout place later, but it is a really good way to get into the groove. Kim

I thought about joining Curves when I first started really getting into fitness but the cost was just extraordinary! Far cheaper for me to buy my own gym for home. Now I pump it up whenever I want. It's already paid itself off.

I have heard some good stories about Curves, I guess everyone has their own way to get fit and drop the kilo's!!

thanks ladies! i am on day 3 today and i feel a little tired, not overly sore though. i think it will be a good intro for me though, unfortunately i am locked into a 1 yr cotract with them (sigh) so hopefully i can still benefit from it all. the circuit can be boring but i do like that it is 30 minutes in and out fast! hopefully i can keep up with it and eating healthier, which is why i joined here.

I went to curves for a couple of years,it can be a good workout if you put effort into it and they had lots of contests and incentives to attend regularly.I have had ongoing knee injuries though and I think some of the machines aggravated it,most of them I had to modify how I was doing the moves and so I felt I wasn't getting my money's worth, but I enjoyed the time I was there
