Injured toe - advice please!

Hiya

I've injured my little toe 2 weeks ago and the side of my foot is still quite tender - wearing trainers is really uncomfy. I've not done any exercise at all (apart from a few arm / chest weights work at home) and it is driving me mad.

I'm going stir crazy and need to do some cardio work, especially as my weight loss is going so well.

Apart from swimming, is there any other cardio exercise that I can do? Am still a bit of a newbie when it comes to working out.

Thanks

Allie

Could you do a recumbent bicycle with no shoe (if you have access to one that is). Kim

I can't tell you how many times I've broken/sprained/injured my big toe in the past couple of years. I've heard that doctors can't do anything for it so I've never gone and have just kept with my same routine. Sometimes it bothers me to run, sometimes it pops a bit, and sometimes I'm fine. Crunchy noises are a bad thing, or so I'm told.

I am the poster child for what NOT to do. I'm going to end up with a messed up foot later one (because a broken toe isn't bad enough?) because of what I'm doing, I'm sure.

Thanks

I'll give the gym a go tomorrow and if it hurts, I'll stop.

Would it help if you got a bigger size of trainers just while it heals?

you could go to your local pharmacy, cvs or walgreens and buy this anesthetic. I bought it for my dad the other day, it has lidocaine in it and its called first aid blue bottle from johnson and johnson, cvs has it. Just pour some of that on, wrap it up and suck it up, chin up solider.
