Dancing for exercise

I have recently been inspired to do dance as a new type of exercise by this.. http://video.msg.com/Home/nwJKOOQ6de...RPglTE0SJgirW1

They really look like they are having fun and yeah maybe I wont look like them but i hear dance is a great exercise to work out.. more info on the dancing girls .. http://blogs.msg.com/themonitor/2009...photo-gallery/

Anyone have any good dance workout tips for me?

those are profesional dancers. unless you too devote at LEAST 6 hours daily to dancing, you will not look like that ( i was a professional dancer). but, dancing just for the heck of it is fun. it just depends on what you want out of it. my suggestion is just crank up your stereo and boogie.

Dance is fun for exercise.. I would suggest you try zumba if you don't have a background in dance. You wont be able to dance quite like them but it's a lot of fun. What those girls are doing looks pretty hard I'm sure they have a background in dance, even the Choreographer says is hard.. did you see this video, looks rough http://blogs.msg.com/themonitor/2009...ditions-video/

I did try HipHop Abs before, I enjoyed the routine but I guess its just not my type of dance. My mom goes to ballroom sessions twice a week now, I can see shes fitter now and more ispired, hope its not really because of a some cute DI..hahaha

Dancing is just so much fun! I use a pole in my dancing to help with strength and tone conditioning. I love getting onto youtube and getting ideas because there are no classes out in the country. This is one routine that I love.

I love dance for exercise because it's actually fun. Sometimes you don't even realize you're working out...
