Red face How to be fit but reduce the bulk

Genetically I am predisposed to be big and bulky. At the moment I am 5'7" and around 165 lbs. I am Hypoglysemic so I have to consume alot of protein on a regular basis, I am a avid student of Martial arts, specifically Tae Kwon Do at the moment. My arms and legs are bulky from Tae Kwon Do but I was wondering if there are any suggestions on how to thin my bulky leg and arms muscle so that I look thinner without losing my hard work getting fit. Also Due to a back injury I cant do alot of the exercises to work my lower abs but my upper abs are perfect, any techniques that I can do that wont hurt my back but work my lower abs?

This has been two problems I have struggled with atleast four years, So any suggestions would be much loved.

Thanks,
Samthyia

Doing cardio at longer distance/time should help address that problem, take a look at endurance athletes (long distance runners, triathletes, Tour de France riders etc) they are all slim because they have more slow-twitch muscle fibres which are required to power their limbs specific to their activities. Yoga may also help, or Pilates, because they both help elongate the muscles.
