help-my pants don't fit

hi everyone

For the last 3 months I have been working out at our gym doing different group classes during the week...mainly step and strength at least 4 times a week...some rev-up kick (kickboxing) classes. So what I am so freaking upset about is I have gained about 5 pounds and half my pants in my closet don't fit anymore. They fit just fine earlier in the year when I was just doing pilates 2x week. I feel like I should be in better shape now but my clothes are telling me different. What should I do? Quit doing step and just do pilates? I have watched what I was eating too...just feeling defeated :-(

Do you think the gain is due to muscle gain? If it is then you may have gained some size with, although I tend to find that it goes in reverse and I become slimmer. In addition to altering to just pilates, running and more cardiovascular exercises in general, it may not be a bad idea to get your thyroid checked out especially if you are watching what you eat.

You could also alter your strength routine to more and endurance based one, if you really want to continue training with weights.
