Really not a whole lot to log in about this week's exercise. I've been having an "easy" week. I did, however, manage to hit a 2:00 min breath-hold after a 15 sec vent in a seated position. The first time I managed 2:00 mins after 15 secs vent was when I was laying down a few weeks ago. Seated uses more oxygen, so I'm pleased with this result because it indicates progress even though I've been out of serious breath-hold training for a while now.

Leg day today. Went well and having to walk down the stairs sideways for safety.

1st day of the routine, which may seem like leg day should not be on the first day but since it's circular in nature, it makes no difference, since it could equally be considered that it's mid-routine or at the end of the routine depending on which day of the exercise cycle a person cares to consider as the 1st...since there is no 1st or last day in this routine

Now it's time to let the legs repair ready for their next beating

So true, and they're still pretty dead. I'm a little concerned about tomorrow since it's normally the day after the day after a workout that DOMS really seems to get to its height of aching muscle tissue...but I'm okay with that, sucker for good punishment I guess

I should point out that my leg day means Leg day (a); since it's split into 3. I have a 14-day split going which is proving interesting so far, but it gives me a chance to completely obliterate a muscle group and then let it fully recover for almost two weeks, whilst the muscle is used as a secondary mover for other exercises, keeping it on its toes, so-to-speak, at the same time.

Today:
Jeez, my legs hurt. I struggled my way through 30 mins of cardio tonight, with really sluggish, heavy, dead legs. I managed to get to 30 mins, even though I was considering throwing the towel in at around 10 mins. I would have been happier with 45 mins at the minimum, but am content with 2/3 of that time for today at least. It should get easier as I get more used to the new weights routine. It also proves the new routine is having the desired affect.

Legs still hurt, they better be ready for tomorrow's cardio

Back day this evening, it seemed to go okay, but I'll know more so tomorrow when I wake up

Quads still sore, no surprise there then

Did triceps and calves today (leg day b). I'm not sure whether I should have done biceps and calves instead since Sunday is chest day...The reason why I have done a smaller muscle group is because I want to alternate between larger and smaller muscle groups and not do all the large muscle groups first....it's enough that each muscle group will get exercised. I'll have to see if it adversely affects chest day or not, and if it does, next time around I'll swap biceps to the workout before chest day. Weight loads were kept lower than normal because of the quads reaction to Monday's workout, so I figure the rest of the routine needs to be kept at low weight loads to start with.

The back is good, after Wednesday's session, so next time around the weights will be upped.
