No, no trainer, no coach. I started home training about 7+ years ago using the book "Sculpting Her Body Perfect" and have used that as my giude mostly, although I take a good look around at articels on the web as well and of course forums whcih are always useful for info even if you're not a member

Update!
I had my first personal training session today. It was great. He pushed me harder than I usually work and there was much more variety than my usual routine. I had great fun/got exhausted boxing among other things. I burnt 1000 calories and an hour session, actually I think we went over a little, maybe and hour 15, but it went really quickly, felt more like 30. I think i'll do it again if I can afford the treat.
Caffeine is strange. I tried them... not the recommended dose, just one and whilst it makes my heart rate higher it also makes me feel light headed and nauseous so I don't feel like I can concentrate as hard as I need to. It also gives me the shakes and makes my asthma kick in faster. All in all I think I can work out better without them. Although I'm sure the nausea would lead to weight loss I don't really think not eating is the way to go. I guess it was worth a try once.
As for my weight, it's gone up! I'm now sitting at 80 again. Whilst i'm annoyed at the figure i'm feeling more toned and stronger so I guess thats the real point. My waist measurement is 36.5 and needs to be 33 to fit into my wedding dress so hopefully all the muscle I'm strengthening/increasing will help burn that up *fingers crossed* I've been trying to increase my water intake but I'm having trouble, how much does everyone else drink a day? I'm aiming for 3L but I'm struggling getting to 2!

Great effort with the trainer
I usually drink between 1 litre and 3 litres depending on my activity level

I only drink between 1 litre to 2 litres a day; 2 litres during the warmer weather, but generally it's a litre or just over daily.
My lil sis sent me a piece of info, some years ago, in which it stated that this 2 litre mark for everyone is not necessarily accurate because they don't take people's height etc into the equation; and it stands to reason that a bigger person will need more fluid, but us shorter people may not. Plus, I saw a tv documentary in which they had twins do an experiment for a month; one drank the 2 litres a day, and the other stuck with their normal 500 ml daily intake (which is what both normally drank). At the end of the experiment, neither had increased or decreased levels of fluids in their system, hair samples etc...so in effect the extra water made no significant difference. What people forget is that water is found in a lot of foods as well, so if a person is eating healthy then the veg/fruits etc will have fluid content that people are not adding up....so 2 litres of water on top of that really bumps fluid intake closer to 3 litres without the need to drink extra...

PT is going well. I love the variety, we do something different every session & I've started doing it with a friend to split the cost. & I'm really enjoying boxing! Feeling good but my measurements have increased 2cms! my weight's the same... but i'm confused, i'm stronger and fitter... but apparently bigger. I'm starting to freak out now, I've got 4 months to fit into my wedding dress!
Uni is almost over thank goodness, so I'll have much less stress and more time to exercise!

I've decided I'm going to run a 5km in feb
I hate running so this is a big thing for me...
I'm still doing PT and going to the gym daily, it's almost time for a new routine- yay!
I had a skin folds test done recently and I'm sitting at 27.6% at the moment... Ideally I'd like to be at 20% but at the moment I'm more worried about tone and waist measurement. I've got 3 months 3 weeks and 4 days till the wedding and my waist measurement is still 2 inches bigger than my dress size!!!
I'm going to stop doing the crunches with weights in my routine but continue with the pilates style (suck it all in) ab work.
Any other ideas would be MUCH appreciated!

Down to 25.5% fat... still working hard. Still can't fit my tits into my wedding dress! I feel like a barbie doll, size 18 up top, 14 down bottom! Least I have a waist now
Got a new routine, killer. These new squats will be the death of me, 30kgs held in your elbows, I forget their proper name...Zu something I think, I'll check tomorrow. *edit* Zercher Squats! Went for a 4.5 hour bike ride yesterday... great fun! Didn't feel like as much exercise as it turned out to be
Anyone tried the 300 workout? my trainer's trying it out tomorrow and I have the pleasure of trying a modified version in next weeks session!
25 Pullups
50 Deadlifts at 135 pounds
50 Pushups
50 Box jumps with a 24-inch box
50 "Floor wipers" (a core and shoulders exercise at 135 pounds)
50 "Clean and press" at 36 pounds
25 Pullups

I love spin The music keeps me going harder than when I'm alone in the gym. And my new routine is great, I'm having shorter rests, 30secs, between the sets, 3 x 15 so my heart rate says nice and high! And doing the Zercher squats my heart rate's up to an impressive 185 (like when I'm running!)
My trainer only got through half the box jumps with a 20 inch box before he was about to black out and needed to stop. Needless to say it's a hard routine... and I'm SO not looking forward to my turn... fingers crossed!
& I finally got a copy of sculpting her body perfect off amazon (for $0.01+postage!) I can't wait for it to arrive

You'll love the book, I've used it for most of my workout plans...it gives guidance as to how to put a plan together which is great and tells you which muscle group each exercise targets, and particularly helpful are the diagrams of the muscle groups.

ALRIGHT! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!
There has to be something I'm doing wrong, because I have been the same weight for months!!! this is either one epic plateau or I'm unknowingly stuffing something up. I've recently made the move to strict vegetarianism (no meat no eggs, no dairy), which has had NO effect on my weight! I'm being very careful with my protein/iron/calcium levels and keeping the refined carbs down... but still no loss... So I'm officially asking for help from anyone who reads this and can help in any way shape or form! ok, here's the plan- I am going to record every training session and every calorie that enters my body on here so I can try to work out what is going on & if anyone has any ideas/questions/comments they will be welcomed with open arms!
& on a more positive note, I have been encouraged by my trainer and other gym instructors to try powerlifting... Trusylver's such an inspiration & has been so helpful that I've got the confidence up to try it! I've already noticed some more lifting exercises slipping into my personal training so I'm starting to think I might actually enjoy pushing myself in this direction
