Today is cardio day -- and whenever it is time for cardio, I still hear a tiny voice begging me to skip it -- for once, just this time. So I just ignore it, get my bag and head for the gym. I did 55 mins today:

I decided to do 10 mins on a reclining bike, level 5 and ensuring my speed doesn't fall (ok, I need to double check these quantifiers... below the 75 kph and reach 4 km. but I only managed 3.90 km -- *groan* will do better next time... next, 35 mins on treadmill programmed to do intervals of 2 mins 55 secs- at 0% incline, walking first at 4.4kph then jogging at 7.5kph. This made me jog 25 seconds more compared to last week. Hmmm, that extra 25 seconds made it challenging, and my ankles were doing well - great... but I was getting bored with the walking part -- i need to explore the other programs avail on that treadmill... then 10 mins on the stepper, started at level 6 then progressed to 9 after a couple of mins -- passed the time by admiring one gym member running at a speed of 11.5 And since I didn't do any upper abs yesterday, I did 3 sets, 20 reps of crunches.

For some reason, I don't know, I feel like there is something lacking here, think I should start recording my average heart rates as well?

Congrats on starting a journal of your exercise.

Tracking the heart rate will be a good idea as you can see how hard you've worked out, and how you progress over the months.

LOL I know the feeling when it comes to skipping cardio. I have no excuse because my bike is in the lounge in front of the TV, and when all the cubs are sleeping it's too easy to sit down and play playstation instead of pedalling and playing playstation.

Having a home cardio makes it much less boring than doing cardio in a gym. I've tried it and I always end up leaving because I just can't hack it. I always admire people who do.
