slow in the gym help!!!!

each winter in the gym we have to run a mile which is 19 laps around the gym. I am slower than everyone else and am tired after just running two laps. How do I get a better time and get able to run longer too. I would really like some help with this. (my time is usually 11-13 min.)

practice, to get better at running you need to practice running. Do you do any other running except for this run ?
