Thumbs up new and improved

Hi,
new to the group, I am 5`3" 137lbs, 47 yrs old....I work for a fitness equipment
manufacturer, I am a consumer technician, so I have no excuse for not working out LOL! Every day on my lunch I work out a specific part allowing the other parts to "re-group"I do leg presses at the gym so far up to 180lbs, and 65lb
bench press (negative and positive, do seated low pulley rows on a functional trainer along with tri`s and bi`s, also do decline situps as well as back extension with added weight, my question is what is the most effective exercise for the mid back, and getting rid of the flab there, I see an extra fold there. I am heavy by weight, I am starting to get too small for size eight pants!!! LOL. My diet is mainly consisting of proteins, citrus and calcium (yogurt), only drink Smart water. I am SOOOOOOO glad I found this website!!!. I promise I am generally not this long winded!!

Welcome! Try to add Lat Pulldowns and Pull Ups to your routines. That will target the mid back area. If you're using machines, look for the ones that focus on Rhomboids and Latissimus Dorsi muscles. Rowing is also a good one.

Cindy,
I currently do lat pull downs both front and rear, and dips (still trying to do ONE pullup!)
I am getting some help with that it is the weight assist chin up machine.
I am however working toward a pullup on my own no assist.
