Lightbulb FITNESS CHALLENGE...little tiny baby steps!!

Hello women of the world!

I'm reading an amazing book called "The Power Of Less" which is about simplifying your life and focusing on the completion of goals!

Simple Fitness was the focus of one chapter and I really took it to heart to motivate me. One very large recommendation is to join a fitness blog and post DAILY, seriously every day!

So I am proclaiming my fitness goals and would love any positive feedback!

I will update you daily and include little tips and tricks that help me along the way!

The biggest and most important thing to remember...and the biggest favor you can do for yourself...is to take baby steps. Think of a fitness goal you have, a small one, maybe it's telling yourself you will do 10 pushups a day, now break that goal down into even smaller baby steps, so small that you would laugh at how easy it is!

Tell yourself you will do 5 pushups every day...before you know it, you will be in the routine of doing these pushups all the time, consistently. Then you will build up your stamina and make a small goal to increase...maybe by 1 pushup a week!

This has been great for me and hopefully it will help you too achieve your fitness goals!

So currently I am in the habit of stretching every morning, then I added 5 pushups, then I added 5 situps...and now they are all easy as pie and part of my morning routine.

Also, getting out of the house or the gym can do wonders to refresh your psyche! Just being on my back porch gives me that little bit of excitement that I use to inspire myself!

Your post was inspiring. I just joined this forum this morning and was perusing what various people had written, etc. I really, really like the idea of posting something - even a couple sentences - each day. Just like any type of journaling, it keeps you on track - keeps you in touch with your goals, your feelings, your SELF! I need that, for sure. I had my first baby about a year ago, and it is very easy to lose track of myself, and be consumed by his needs, wants, and desires. So...here I am. Taking care of ME!!! And, I, too, will try to post a little something each day...to keep myself going! First post (well, not counting this one) will be my intro/goals!

Thanks for your inspiring message about baby steps!
