Newwwww.

Alright. As you can see by the title of this lovely thread, I'm new. My name's Kait, if you didn't get that from my username, and I'm sixteen. Gasp! Yes, I'm semi-young. :P I'm not one of those girls who spends all their time whining over how 'fat' they are when they're only about one-hundred-and-five pounds and would rather be ninety or something. Nope, I really am fat, and have been for pretty much ever.

But now I want to change that, because I'd like to live past twenty and at this rate... well, sure, I'll live past twenty, but I probably won't experience what I'm probably holding myself back from. I want to be able to do anything without my weight holding me back.

My current weight is, ugh, two-hundred-and-thirty. But not for longggg.

I have an elliptical trainer, and the the workout DVD Turbo Jam, but I'm not sure what else to do. I'd sign up for a gym, but there's not one near my house at all. So right now I need to figure out what else there is for me to do!

Hi Kait, take a look around the forum, I'm sure some help will come in the form of what other new members may have already asked. Post a question if you need more help.

It's nice to see new members

Hey Kait,
I'm new too Sounds like you're pretty determined so you should do well, getting support always helps if the motivation starts flagging. Small changes help at first - walk places instead of the bus or driving, going up stairs instead of a lift. As soon as you start to see results it'll spur you on, it's addictive - I started running to lose a bit of weight and I could only do about ten minutes at first, I'm running ten km races now and hoping to build up to half marathons... once you get started you get fit pretty quick. I can't afford to renew my gym membership either so I've also recently started doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and that seems pretty good, it's hard but it builds up in levels and it's only 20mins.
Hope that helps! Good luck
