Default Hi from the UK

Hi

I am now ready to get fit, after being put off exercise at School. I am overweight and now my lifestyle needs to change.
In the last month I have joined a weight loss club and the local gym. I am looking for exercise routine I can do at the gym.
After reading this site it looks like it will provide me with the motiviation keep exercising and provide different routines.

I always wanted to be a dancer as a child until I grew too tall and round. This year I have joined an English Folk dancing club which is near where I live.

Good, Dancer! Welcome! You should always exercise through things that are fun, that way you don't get discouraged and quit.

Smile Update form the UK

Hi all

In December my computer broke and I have only just got it fixed. I did not realise how much I use the computer.

Charlotte-English Folk dancing includes Morris Dancing, Sword dancing which are traditionally down by men, clog dancing, and dances similar to circle and line dancing some people would call it country dancing. Every county in England has a different view on what they call folk dancing.

The dances we do at the club are where people form up into lines and in a certain order dance diaganolly accross the lines so that you end up dancing with a different patrner and come back to the person you started with.

I have also started going to the gym which I am suprised that I enjoy. I am doing 10 minutes exercises on treadmill, cross trainer, bike and rower. I enjoy the rower the best!
