I find this one easier than the overhead extension, because I suffer from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, so the lying extensions are easier for me to perform.
I gave these a go last night, started of with a really low weight (didn't want a black eye ). I could feel it in my abs as well. Hope that doesn't mean I was doing it wrong.

I would give cable pushdowns ago aswell. You can alter the attachment so your wrists are @ various angles, pick the one that is the most comfortable. A rope attachment might be better than a bar.

Close Grip Bench Press

I would also try a close grip bench press with a barbell.

Lie down on a bench, take a barbell above your chest with your hands just above your shoulders. As you lower the bar keep those elbows tight so they brush past your sides on the way down.

Because this exercise hits those triceps more you won't lift as much as on a normal bench press so you'll take the stress off those wrists!

Still feel like all the exercises are building my biceps more than my triceps, anyone know why that is.

Does anyone know any other tricep exercises that I could try?
thanks

Over head tricep pull downs using the cable pulldown with a rope over your head don't put your hands close together keep them apart and you will hit the spot-
Put your back to the cable grab the ropes lunge or stager your footing and while your head is down toward the floor bring the rope above your head and extend your arms at the elbows- trust me you will feel it- alot of men do this one as well

can you elaborate more about what it is that makes you feel like your biceps are working more than the triceps? I'm wondering if you feel sore in the biceps afterwards or if you are feeling something during the exercise...if so, what exactly? Do you feel anything in the triceps at all - during or after?

You probably already know that our muscles work in pairs, in this case your bicep/tricep. Your elbow is the pivot point and when your bicep contracts and squeezes (with weight) your triceps lengthen. On the other hand, when your tricep contracts (think of tricep kickbacks) your bicep is lengthened. Because these muscles are partners they can't work independently, they will BOTH always be working, but the motion or exercise you use will work one more than the other.
If you're bicep is more developed than your tricep, it will seem to take more of a load from the smaller muscle and will feel like your bicep is doing the work rather than your tricep. Don't be discouraged. It might not feel like it, but your tricep (if you're targetting tricep exercises) is still getting a work out. Keep at it, make sure you're doing some specific tricep exercises (kickbacks, skullcrushers, whatever) and you will see results even if you don't 'feel' them straight away. Try doing your triceps weights first, before you do your biceps, that way you'll fatigue your triceps directly first, with support from your biceps. Remember, building a muscle is about lengthening as well, so you may be laying this foundation in your tricep without being aware of it yet. Keep going!!
