Triceps

I want to tone up my triceps but am having difficulties finding exercises I can do as I have really weak wrists and forearms (not for lack of muscle but recurring tendonitis is killing them!) basically I'm doing as many tricep push ups on my knuckles as I can before my wrists give out and I've been using the machine where you push the bar down with your elbows tucked into your sides.
Does anyone know any other tricep exercises that I could try?
thanks

One of my faves is the dumbbell overhead extension. Just hold your elbow up next to your head and hold a dumbbell behind your head. Slowly raise and lower, keeping your upper urm still.

Thanks, I'm off to the gym now, I'll be sure to give it a go!

edit: Tried it, love it, just wondering how many kgs I should be starting with? I tried 2kg just incase it hurt my wrist and did 3 sets of 15, is that wrong? Ta

Glad you liked it. My thing when trying a new exercise is to begin with a low weight until I'm used to the form and technique, then I up the ante when I feel confident.

My favourite is the dumbbell lying triceps extension:

I find this one easier than the overhead extension, because I suffer from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, so the lying extensions are easier for me to perform.

Ah yeah, I love those too. They also work the chest (well... I end up with sore pecs) and give a good burn.

ha ha -re: the hitting yourself in the face....but once you're buff you don't need to be bright - right?
(I've actually done that with those exercises)

Umm...the accidents we have with exercise...none with weights yet, thankfully.

My funniest accident, although not at the time; Yoga, I was doing one of these upside down feet over head poses; lost my balance, face-crashed into a nylon carpet, whacked my shoulder...ended up grazing my lip, and face (carpet burn ), had a hell of a bruise on my shoulder area, and other minor 'aches and pains' to boot. Actually, I couldn't feel my face and lip for quite a while, and was pleasantly surprised not to see a swollen face, which is what I was expecting, when I looked in the mirror.

And all hubby says is " I would be embarrassed to tell people I had an accident whilst doing yoga"...but, he has a point, it's very funny in retrospect.
