Smile Toning and Shaping

Hello everyone,

My question is I have enough muscle and want to now tone and sculpt lean muscle. Do I still need to lift heavy or can I lift lighter with higher reps?

Ooookay.... Firstly.. What do you believe is the difference between "muscle" and "lean muscle"?

is it that you just want to be more defined now? so you can see the outline of the muscle you already have? if that's the case then dietary ratios of fat/proteins and carbs should probably be part of your focus.
cross training for example as a triathlete would: bicycling, swimming and running are great ways to stay healthy, strong and not necessarily bulk up...
just for starters...

wouldn't mind getting to 125 lb. if it's healthy muscle!

I think I know what you're getting at; you would like to be slimmer limbed but still muscular...if I'm right, then Stikfigure's suggestion of more endurance based activities is ideal. It is still wise to lift weights, but I wouldn't recommend lower with high reps, I would be more inclined to stick to a medium range weight that is just enough to keep your muscles in shape without adding growth; too light a weight, and you will just end up doing lots of reps which you may find boring. The addition of cardio would seem to be the key thing needed, doing a little more cardio than weights may be what you find works. Stik also brought up a good point about dietary intake might need to be looked at too, just to make sure you're getting the necessary nutritional balance to keep any fat gains in check whilst you continue to feed the body the nutrients it needs for exercise. The internet has a good deal on calroie ratios for endurance/weight lifting etc, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find some more in-depth information.
Things like yoga, and cycling, as well as an aerobic step, keep the legs trimmed with a nice muscular definition. Women can see the definition in their leg muscles, apparently, when their bodyfat level is around 21%.
I hope this has helped.
