Help with arm toning

Hi there, I am 30 years old, 5' 2" and weigh just under 9 stone.

My arms are so-oo fat and I just want skinny arms (or toned arms) when I tense them up they look toned but I hate wearing short sleeved tops because they are just so wide and fat!!

I have been going to the gym for years and use free weights twice a week on my arms but nothing is working.

Can someone help me please? I would be so grateful....

Hey welcome,
skinny anything can't happen without a decent cardio workout and a look at dietary ratios of fat/protein and carbs.

once you've got a good handle on that, I would look into doing compound exercises like pushups, pull ups, dips to start.

work with dumbbells may be a bit too specific at this stage

wouldn't mind getting to 125 lb. if it's healthy muscle!

In addition to what Stik has said, I would recommend measuring your upper arm to see what the size of it is, because 9 stone is not that weighty for someone of 5' 2"...my upper arm flexed (around the largest part of bicep) measures 13 inches; unflexed, I think it's 12 inches (but I'd have to check that. I'm 5' 3" and around 9 and 3/4 stone, so it gives some gauge of expected arm sizes within our range, even though I realise weight training etc all makes a difference; but I just wonder whether you're seeing something that's not there, as we all do at times.
