Circuit Training

Hi,

I had a trainer for about a month and he got me into circuit training, I love it.

Now, I am going to try and do this on my own without a personal trainer because it gets costly.

So, I was wondering if anyone has any good Circuit exercise l they like doing to give me some tips. Also, what it body parts are good to work together if you are only doing it 3 days a week.

There is a way in which to split all the body parts so that none clash on workout days. There are 9 basic muscle groups: Chest, back, abs, quads (thighs), hamstrings, calves, shoulders, biceps, triceps. Choose 3 to workout each session:

Shoulders
Calves
Abs

Chest
Quads
Biceps

Back
Hamstrings
Triceps

I can't say that the split I have written above will be necessarily scientific, since I'm not hot on how to split muscle groups...but it may give you some idea.

I suggest doing 3 total body circuits. This ensure max muscle toning and fat burning. Research shows working with total body and working the same muscle groups 3 times a week leads to better results than split workouts.

Here's a great circuit:
push-ups
squats
SA clean and press
Bicycle crunches
Lunges jumps
Bent over rows
