I can't do a chinup to save my life! I like doing crunches though, I want a flat stomach.

Sara -- keep working at it! Do assisted chinup and lateral pull downs to build the strength in your back

Tonning up

Hi Friends,

Nice articles here to read on!
I personally am a workout freak...nothing makes me more happier than a good, fit, sweaty n toned workout session.
Read couple of points on this forum on exact way of doin crunches, arm toning etc.
Although, i wanna know how to reduce the chest fat? Are there any specific exercises for toning upper body part?

Thanks for all the links! A couple years ago I couldn't do any pull ups/chin ups either - it's a great feeling to be able to do them without help! I used rubberbands at our gym to help - it's a lot like the gravitron machine, decreasing your body weight - but much more portable!

Thank you so much for this sticky! Women definitely need to weight train, it isn't just for men. I have just been lifting since April of this year (after having my 2nd child) and I am in love with it. I started seeing results in muscle tone within a matter of weeks. I was so amazed! =)

Yes, the squats are probably the best butt workout there is! It really does work IF performed correctly. Not only will you trim your bum, but it will look more perky. Just remember to do the moves SLOW and calculated. When you rush through the excersise you can not only injure yourself, but you will not get the best results because your muscles will not challenge themselves!
