Default Lifting Weight to Lose Weight

I thought I had to post this one up...a good post on another forum about lifting weights to lose weight.

That's just another good example of why women should weight train!

I have been weight training and cardio training, and weight training has DEFINITELY helped me lose weight, and look toned! I'd highly recommend adding weight training to your workout if you're not doing it already.

Hi, I just started to weight train with a personal trainer, and up to this i was the cardio queen...in the last month or so, since weight training i noticed that my jeans fit fine around the waist, but around the upper thighs they seem tighter - i know you don't bulk up, but is this just water rentention from starting the weight training?? I'm strong ~ did Pilates for 7 years, and am able to do bicep curls with 12 lb. weights (now almost easily) so am Not lifting 'light weights'...i do love the weight lifting, but don't want too thick of thighs ~ help??
