Angry Frustrated

I have tried a ton of things to lose weight as I am sure a lot you have. I tend to lose motivation, and give up. I have never expected an overnight change, but i will keep at something for several months and see little to no change. If i do see any improvement (5 lbs max.), it seems as though the second I show pride in myself, the weight pops right back on. Please anyone who has had success in losing weight tell me what you did and how long it took you. Plus any tips to boost my motivation would be great. I dont have anyone where I live to work out with. so that ones out.

When I began getting in shape, I did 45 minutes of cardio, 6 days a week. After 3 months (losing 2lbs most weeks, sometimes 3lbs and then 1lb the week after), I decided I wanted to do weights as well, so I started doing weights 3 times a week (45 minutes session) and cardio 3 times a week, and going for a walk on the Saturday (day 7)...that kept my weight in check, along with eating sensibly. If you follow this for 3 -4 months and get nowhere, then I would suggest seeing a doctor, in case you have a problem thyroid or something else. To keep motivated, just look froward to your 45 minutes that is all your own and set yourself a goal, to go faster, or to get fitter, or to go for 5 minutes longer (if you can't do the 45 minutes to begin with)...watch a tv programme and do it during that etc...I hope that helps a bit. But, you will have to give the exercise time to work...it will be working in the 3 months, but measurement cahnges look better after a good few months have passed, so take measurements (bust, hips, waist, thigh) at the start and then check them 3 months on (not every day); also weigh yourself at the start (and you can do that once a week)...make a journal that you can keep the information in so that you can compare it at the end of 3 months. Make sure diet is good, otherwise this may hinder losses, and you will think it's hormones when it may not be.

Hi there, I have been on different weight loss programs only to gain the weight back on and I was getting really frustrated too, until a friend recommended me to a hypnosis and relaxation CD which really calms me down. In the last week or two I’ve noticed I’m already losing weight from my midriff and thighs without even trying. I’m feeling really excited about my progress, my clothes are feeling a bit loser around the waist. The information was from, helpme-loseweight.com I’m finding it really helpful and informative.
