Losing weight around the back of arms

Hi

Has anyone get any advice on it, I am not having any luck at the moment

Try turning it into muscle. Lifting weights isn't going to make you into a freak bodybuilder, you'll simply tone what little weight you do have.

I'm also having trouble with my upper arms. I know that I can't spot train, but all the same, I would love to drastically reduce the size of my upper arms without having to go on a crazy diet. I already do cardio workouts and mild weight training almost daily, is there anything else I should do?

Hi!

I had a similar situation with abdominal flab. I think it would be best to do additional cardio, because it's been my experience that spot-weight-training does not reduce fat in that area. If you continue with weight training, then when you do lose the fat, your arms will be nice and toned. But in the mean time, try to do a little extra cardio to burn off calories and melt off the fat (remember, you have to burn calories to lose fat).

Good luck!

Don't get discouraged! If you are using weights and training at least 3 times a week you'll get there. Don't be in a rush to get results or you will give up all together if you are not careful. Stay at it and make sure you are working to failure. When we feel like we just want to stop is when our body is changing.

Hi Kawn,

I have the same problem with you : triceps muscle. I exercise my triceps twice a week, 2 weight lifting exercises using dumbbells on each session. After about 2 months, I began to see the result.

Same problem

I am also facing same problem with my flabby arms. I just want to get rid of this. But the same time i dont want to make my flabby arms into muscle mass. But i just want to tone them. I am doing some hand exercises what iam aware of. with these exercises size of my hand got reduced but that flabbiness is not yet solved. I am not using any instruments or anything iam just doing yoga exercises for this. Can anyone suggest me some exercises that ll show me a good result.

in order to decrease the flab the muscle underneath it has to be stimulated. working the triceps muscle will not make you bulky - it'll just firm up the flab. don't be afraid to work this area hard!!

What sort of yoga exercises are you doing, and at what intensity? I ask, because there are a number of yoga exercises that target the triceps muscle. The locust pose, bow pose (to a degree), the sun salutation, the crow, the peacock etc...

Using weights for your arms will tighten the muslces, it will not make them grow, if you don't use a heavy weight. I use a 5kg at most for triceps kickbacks, and my arms are toned; 5kg, for a female that is just beginning will be impossible, so you may even just want to use a 3kg weight...but it won't make your arms big like men get....unless we are complete freaks of nature, or on illegal drugs, or spend literally all day in the gym doing weight training, there is just no way they will 'grow' and look manly...so pick up the weights and enjoy a toned body...good shaped triceps are just tone lean muscle that's all, no magic involved...unfortunately women still equate big muscles with weight lifting and it really isn't the case for us, we actually get slimmer, because we have less testosterone...trust me on this point, ignore pictures you may have seen of big muscled women, it just won't happen to you, unless you put an inordinate amount of time in, which even I don't do, and I spend 3 hours on weights a week, and am a slim toned person...want to slim just a touch more though, so the weights will remain in my routine, mostly cos it's the quickest way to get lean and toned, without doing loads and loads of cardio alone...so I even get me time to enjoy my results
