Although we are usually quite critical of fitness gadgets here at Real Women’s Fitness we do have a few favorites that we just cannot do without.
Here are four fitness gadgets we think are pretty cool. It isn’t so much that you can’t do without them - they just are really fun and useful.
The speed skipping ropes that are made to rotate especially fast are one of the best fitness gadgets you will ever buy. Skipping works the arms, shoulders and the legs all at once and gives you a really good cardio workout. It is one of the best ways to burn fat and really take your fitness to a new level. And they are cheap!
My mom always used to say to me “shoes are shoes”. I always thought she was right until I started running. All shoes certainly are not created equal when it comes to foot health, comfort and style. If you spend a lot of time on your feet working out then I highly encourage you to get a pair of sneakers that you love and that work well for you.
The most popular women’s shoes for running and working out according to Amazon are the ASICS GEL Nimbus VIII and the Brooks Women’s Adrenaline GTS 7. I am a big fan of the ASICS GEL series and have personally found them to be the most comfortable running shoe on the market.
We have talked a lot about fitness ball workouts here on Real Women’s Fitness. They work really well and add a spice and variety to your otherwise pretty mundane workout. If you haven’t got a fitness ball already it is a good idea to get one. They are very cheap.
This is pretty obvious. Every single person I know who works out uses an iPod. You just whack on your favorite workout music and go hard. The music inspires you and makes you feel like you are doing something that is fun and happy rather than chore-like. If you don’t have one already get one of their fitness kits.
Conclusion
There are so many other gadgets that we use when we workout. What are your favorites?

Never jiggle or put that much pressure on a harddrive based player (like an iPod). If you must go Apple, a nano or shuffle are flash based players that can take much more abuse. But most non-Apple flash based players are cheap (under $50) and work just as well. Sorry, I know this doesn\'t really have to do with fitness. |
