Time for PART 4 of our series on the best gym equipment for women’s workouts. In this part we will be looking at the very popular arms. Which machine is best?

The best gym equipment for women’s arms

Many women are not satisfied with their arms. They have the old triceps wobble when they would rather have nice thin and firm muscles. We have had many articles on women’s arm training here but still women write to us asking for more!

In this post I want to tell you about what I consider to be the best equipment at the gym for developing your arms. It is easy, simple to use and very effective.

So what is it? It is the good old cables.

Cable work for the arms

The cables are my new favorite machine at the gym. There are so many setting and functions - you can get a whole workout in one place!

Cables in crossover setting

The thing I really like about the cables is that it keeps a constant tension on your muscles. The weight is always trying to pull down so at no point in the set do your muscles get a break. This makes for both a good stretch and a good heavy load.

You can work both your triceps and biceps on the cables. Experiment with different setting and different angles as this will put a different type of stress on your muscles. Like I said, you can get a full workout using just the cables.
