Womens Weight Loss Tone up Talk & Discuss

Christmas Health Books

It is nearly Christmas time so I thought I would write a list of the fitness products that you should be on the look out for (ie ask for!). This post will be about certain books that I feel you should get for yourself or get for others!

Fitness Books

There are so many fitness books out there it is really hard to choose the best ones. I have read so many that sometimes I can’t even remember if I have read it by looking at the cover.

However, this year I have encountered a few books that have had particular impact on me. They are different, original and full of good information.

1 | Foods that Harm, Foods that Heal
This was a book that my girlfriend picked up at a book sale and I have looked at it almost everyday since. It goes from A-Z of foods and food related topics like breast cancer fighters, cold’s and flu remedies, weight loss foods… heaps more.

2 | CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet
This is another book that has taken Australia by storm. Almost every nights dinner is a recipe from this book.

I promote this book somewhat because it is very similar to my own diet principles and beliefs. It advocates getting real about your diet and learning to lose weight by getting healthy, not going on silly diets.

3 | Complete Idiot’s Guide to Weight Loss
One of the all time best selling weight loss books. These books (Idiot’s Guide to…) are sometimes overlooked because there are so many out there but you can be assured that the information in them is always very well researched.

If you are just starting out on the weight loss journey this book is excellent. You will very quickly learn about fats, carbs, diets, cardio, weights and other things that are essential.

4 | Starving for Salvation
This is a book that should be read by every woman who is overly concerned about her weight. Or, if you know someone who you feel is bordering on balemia then this book might be for them.

It is a very insightful look into eating disorders in America and shines some much needed perspective on how obsessive we can become with our weight loss persuits.

Does anyone else know of some other books that women on health, fitness or weight loss kicks should read?
