Before we look at any solutions we need to look at exactly what the problem is.
Firstly, I should say that I am no expert on these matters and the things I write here are my opinion and the opinion of others that I have talked to. But, it concerns me enough to write about it so I hope what I write will be of some benefit to someone.
Secondly, I need to say that there is nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight. That is normal for many people. The problem arises, however, when women want to lose weight for unhealthy reasons.

To put it simply, if you are trying to lose weight because you hate yourself in your current state then you are bound to wind up in some trouble.
What can we do about weight loss issues?
Here are some simple things you can do that might make a big difference in your life:
The first thing women need to do if they think they have a problem regarding unhealthy weight loss is recognize that everything you do in your life is under your control.
Your mind is a powerful tool and it can be trained to perform great and very profound tasks. So, the first thing you need to do is recognize your amazing potential to be better and instead of looking at your negative aspects, start really embracing your positive potential to be great. This is vital.
Find some friends who have a healthy weight or who have been through some tough weight loss times as well and see them as often as you can. Talk about your issues with them and ask for their advice and listen to it.
The buddhist teachings give an example relating to negative friends. Its like putting a clear crystal on a black cloth, the crystal then becomes black. In the same way, if you spend too much time with negative people you too will start to become negative.
However, the reverse is also possible and if you start associating with positive, light hearted and loving people then you too will start to show those qualities. Don’t try and do it alone.
I think this is important in terms of having a healthy weight loss outlook because if you know lots about losing weight then you will not worry as much about it.
For example, when I first started bodybuilding in high school I became very concerned with finding the perfect workout, the perfect number of sets and reps and eating the perfect foods. I would worry so much about every single rep and every single bite of food that I lost the love for the sport and made myself quite stressed.
However, now that I am a bit older and I know a bit more about the subject I find that I can relax into my training and diet because I know exactly whats going on. In particular it is important to learn that missing a workout occasionally or going out for fast food once a week isn’t going to kill you. Information is power.
Learning to love one’s self is important because when we do we learn to embrace our potential as good human beings. When we are aware of our good qualities we are more able to help others and this is the most important thing in life.
One of the most amazing things about human beings is that we can change our current situation. Animals can not do this very well but humans are good at it. We can change our minds, change our environments and change our actions. Recognize these qualties in your self and be happy. Know that you are wonderful how you are.
So what are some good motivations for weight loss?
As far as I am concerned there are only a few valid motivations for wanting to lose weight. They are:
