More of the best workout songs

The music you listen to seems to be so important for working out so I wanted to look at more of the best workout songs around. The first post on workout music has been so popular so I’m going to make a regular segment on the latest tracks that get me going on the treadmill.

The best workouts songs of 2007

2006 has gone and with the new year has come a whole lot of new music to listen to. The gym is playing new tracks on the radio or televisions and you can always tell which ones are the popular ones with the locals. They run faster or start bobbing their head on the treadmills.

Here is a look at some of the new songs you should whack on your iPod for the gym or take with you next time you go on a big tiring run.

1 - Beyonce
This lady always has funky beats and lately she has been teaming up with her boyfriend Jay Z to make some very hip hop sounding tracks. The song Irreplaceable has been huge here in Australia and the beat always seems to get people going.

2 - Fergie
Fergalicious is always on down at the gym and at first I really didn’t like it. However, the Black Eyed Peas have always been famous for their funky funky beats and Fergie is no different. It’s fun, happy and the perfect tone for the gym. Whack it on!

3 - Justin Timberlake
JT has been getting big props for his new album and even though the songs are a little odd at first, when you let go and just listen they can become quite infectious. I think Justin makes most of his music for dancing and running really isn’t that different so give it a go.

4 - Gwen Stefani
As usual Gwen has a hit in the top ten in Australia and she just seems to keep on producing the hits. I personally cannot stand the new yodel sound of her nice single Wind It Up but everyone else seems to be really loving it. Not for me - maybe for you.

5 - Pussycat Dolls
Like Gwen the Pussycat Dolls have had a hit in the top ten for months on end. And, every time it has been a funky, up-beat and pretty pumped up song. Their music is not for everyone but with songs like ‘I don’t need a man’, ‘beep’ and ‘buttons’ they have a spot on many people’s workout play list.

Let me know if you have any others that should be up here for the start of 2007’s best workout songs.
