Top Workout Songs of the Week

I’m starting a regular post on the Top Workout Songs of the Week so that we can keep each other up to date on the latest tracks that are going around that are great to exercise to. Music can have such an impact on your workout so I thought it would make a good regular post.
What I like in a workout song
Here are a few things a song must have in order for it to be chosen as a song I listen to when I exercise:
- excellent base;
- a heavy and infectious beat;
- great lyrics that don’t get annoying;
- a fast tempo;
- (usually) a rap verse or two in it.
The Top Workout Songs of the Week
- Nelly Furtado - Say it Right
Again she is up there with a funky beat and some clever lyrics
- Fergie - Fergalicious
I really am not a fan of this song but everyone is playing it and listening to it at the moment so I had to put it up.
- My Chemical Romance - Welcome to the Black Parade
I don’t know how it’s going in the US but in Australia this song has been huge. It is fast and has a great build up to the head banging at the end - reminds me a lot of Queen.
- Gia Farrrel - Hit me Up
That song from the penguin movie - very fast.
- Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around Comes Around
He’s still up there on the charts and his music is always different.
Post as many songs as you can in the comments so we all get to see what everyone else is listening to!
