What fitness equipment do you have at home?

Do you have your own home gym equipment?

I have often wondered how many people on Real Women’s Fitness  workout out at the gym and how many workout at home. Of those people who workout at home, I have often wondered who has fancy equipment and who makes do with chairs and stairs and anything else they can get their hands on.

For a long time I have just worked out at home in my shed using some basic dumb bells, bar bells and home made gadgets. It worked. However, a few years ago I got a gym membership as a gift and I got hooked. The fancy stuff is great and it never has spiders on it.

So, my question is: who works out at home and who works out at the gym? If you workout at home, do you have good equipment or rusty old stuff? How much can you afford?

I intend on writing a series of posts (with photos) of exercises that you can do at home without any equipment at all. Stay tuned!

I strength train at home, mostly. Later this summer I want to get a personal trainer and start working out at the gym, though.

I have always worked out at the gym and it works fine for me. I find that once I am there I keep going for as long as I can - no distractions.

Carrie said:I used to keep some gym equipment at home, but I found that I didn't use it as much as I should have. I find that working out at the gym is much more focused and productive. The gym also keeps me way more motivated because I tend not to slack off when there are people working out around me. Also, I like using heavier weights and these aren't that convenient to keep around a small apartment.
