Women's Fitness - Time Problems

Women’s fitness can be difficult. Many women are so busy that the thought of popping down to the gym three or four times a week is just too much. This post will look at some of the obstacles to women’s fitness and how to best combat them.

Obstacles to Women’s Fitness

Some of the main problems that I hear women talk about when they are unhappy about not spending enough time working out are:

The list really is endless. However, what I want women to realize is that all of these obstacles to fitness are opportunities to find a new way to work out. It is very very rarely that you will come accross a completely hopeless situation.

Getting Creative with Women’s Fitness

I urge all my friends and clients to start getting creative with their fitness. If they have a time related obstacle they need to figure out ways to use what time they do have more effectively. If they cannot find any spare time at all, then they need to find ways to use their work or college hours to do as much as they can.

In order to get creative with women’s fitness I usually try to help women think of things a little out of the square. For example, in this post I talked about ways to make your workplace more fitness friendly so that little bits and pieces of fitness could be done while at work.

However, finding time for fitness is not just about doing it at work. You might be a mum at home with the kids or a college student cramming for exams. So, we have to get creative with our own situation.

Getting up Early for Women’s Fitness

Getting up early really is the best way to fit more into your day. It is refreshing and, although hard to begin with, leaves you feeling much better once you have gotten used to it.

Working out in the morning is also more effective for weight loss as you can burn fat instead of calories. This may mean that you have to work out less and thus can devote more time to other things anyway.

Does anyone have any tips on making time for women’s fitness? Anything really creative would be cool!
